Time is changing and therefore the one who is always mentioned to be a homemaker is now beginning from their home and earning the bread. Now, Women are in each and each field including Teaching, Architecture, Engineering, etc. But the male-dominating society remains their one among the main problems as women are always discriminated against at the workplace, the wages given to them are less than men. But the foremost sensitive problem which arises with women at the workplace is harassment.
Why they're harassed?, Why they're always stated as a weak link?. But do the women of our society know that they hold immense power? Their words can make the globe shake. There's no field where they do not have a presence. There are still thousands of girls who are afraid to lift their voice against those that mistreat them.
In this essay, we are going to discuss the Salient Features of The Death Of SEXUAL HARASSMENT And The Way To Avoid It? And the way it’s changing day by day. And even we are going to discuss several topics associated with our title in such the way that after reading the paper, we’d be able to make them understand that why we need The Death Of SEXUAL HARASSMENT And The Way To Avoid It? No one deserves or asks to be sexually harassed, Everyone features a right to figure and sleep in an environment which is free from Harassment, Bullying, Discrimination, and other violence. Harassment is against the law covered under (Sex Discrimination Act 1984).
Women who remained silent are now coming forward and sharing their experiences.

Ø Meaning
Sexual harassment may be a type of harassment that relate to unwelcome and inappropriate sexual remark or physical advantages at workplaces or the other professional areas or social situations. It's an illegal act.
It is often written, verbal or physical and may happen face to face or online.
Not only women are affected by this but men also. In some places, men also are sexually harassed.
It can happen at:
1. Workplaces
2. School
3. Public places
4. Churches
Ø What does it include?
It includes:
1. Touching, Grabbing, or making the other Physical Contact without consent.
2. Making Sexual Comments.
3. Asking for Sexual Favors.
4. Making Sexual Gestures.
5. Questioning you about your Sex Life.
6. Insulting you with Sexual Comments.
7. Making an obscene phone call,
8. Exposing themselves
9. Sexual assaulting you.
Ø When does harassment becomes Sexual Assault?
When someone sexually harasses you in such how during which you are feeling Pain, Humiliation, or intimidation, then this will be considered as “Sexual Assault”.
Ø How harassment can affect you?
l You will feel stressed, Depressed.
l You will withdraw yourself from social situations.
l Lose confidence and self-esteem.
l Physical symptoms like stress, headache, backache, or sleep problem.
l Less productive and unable to concentrate

1. Save an Evidence:
Keep messages, social media comments, notes, and emails. This may assist you if you create a complaint.
2. Get external information and advice:
If it happens at the workplace, check law staff who are representing your industry. They will offer you advice and tell you about your rights. Someone also can act on your behalf if you're not feeling comfortable pursuing the difficulty alone.
3. Tell someone about your problem:
Sexual Harassment isn't something you would like to affect on your own. In the workplace, you'll talk together with your HR manager, you'll even talk with a trusted friend or loved one about what’s happening.
Ø Type of harassment
There are two sorts of harassment:
1. Quid Pro Quo
2. Hostile Environment
l Quid Pro Quo
(Meaning “this for that”) occurs when it's stated that a private employee must conduct a sexual nature with his/her superior to participate in University programs or activity. For example, If an employee believes that the promotion can only happen if the employee goes on a date with the employee’s supervisor, the employee is possibly subjected to “Quid Pro Quo”.
l Hostile Environment
It occurs when there's an unwelcome and inappropriate sexual remark or physical advantages at workplaces or the other professional areas or social situations.
The harasser is often the peer of the person being harassed. Sometimes the harasser is harassing an individual who has power over them. For example, A supervisee can sexually harass a supervisor or a student can sexually harass a school member.

Ø Similarities
1. Illegal
2. Violation of Military regulations and therefore the UCMJ.

4. Personal violations which may end in harm to the victim.
5. Can occur in a single episode or over time with repeated incidents.
6. Involves someone the victims knows, like co-workers or supervisors.

Ø Sexual Harassment at workplace
Sexual harassment is against the law under the Human Rights Act of 2010. A variety of harassment can also be an offense under legal code.
These include exposure, stalking, sexual abuse, and threatening communications, like phone calls, letters, emails, text messages, and posts on social networking sites. Employers should consider reporting criminal offenses to the police.
Sexual Harassment at the workplace is an extension of violence in lifestyle and is discriminatory and exploitative because it affects a woman’s right to life and livelihood. In India, for the primary time, in 1997, a petition was filed within the Supreme Court to enforce the fundamental rights of working women, after the brutal gang-rape of Bhanwari Devi a caseworker from Rajasthan. As an outcome of the landmark judgment of the Vishaka Vs State of Rajasthan the harassment of women at Workplace (Prevention Prohibition and Redressal Act 2013) enacted wherein it had been made mandatory for each employer to provide a mechanism and redress grievances concerning workplace harassment and enforce the right to gender equality of working women. The Act is additionally unique for its wide ambit because it applies to the organized sector as well as the unorganized sector.
Since, harassment results in the violation of the Fundamental Rights of women to equality as per Article 14, Article 15, and Article 21 of the Constitution of India, the government of India enacted the harassment of girls at the workplace (Prevention, Prohibition and Redressal) Act, 2013. The Act is an extension of the Vishaka Guidelines, acknowledged harassment at the workplace as an Individual’s Right Violation. The Act also reflects the commitment of the government to the ratification of the Convention on the Elimination of all sorts of Discrimination against Women (CEDAW) on July 9, 1993. The new legislation makes every effort to be a user-friendly tool within the hands of the employers and employees.

A toll-free “NIRBHAYA helpline” for ladies and girls to provide help or counseling to women affected by any problems: This helpline would help the ladies to possess simple access to experts, who would be ready to help or guide them in resolving their suffering or woes. Toll-free No. 181 to assist women in need. Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik on the International Women's Day launched a fanatical toll-free helpline number '181' to supply immediate assistance to women in need within the State.
